Default 2004 GTO intake and exhaust

I am going to buy an 04 GTO and put a CAI on and was going to remove the mufflers and resonators. My ? is it ok to remove the resonators from the exhaust and I heard that a CAI may cause the engine to idle bad is this true?

yea you can take off the resonators, it will just make the car louder and the drone will be more noticeable...especially if you remove the mufflers.

the intake should not really effect your idle too much. My car idled the exact same as stock when I first swapped air intakes. I would do some research on CAI's before you buy one. general consensus is most CAI produce a minimal or non existent gain.
