Yes, they can dry rot but IMO IF constantly used then would wear out far ahead of any dry rot period. Only time I see true dry rot was cars that have tires on them, they sit, and exposed to elements but not driven.
What does happen is the compound gets hard and it gets harder to get the tire to the state where it is at maximum efficency.
TO be honest, just inspect them, look for visable signs of wear and if they hold air, enjoy them.

Thanks. They look fine and have been stored inside. There is only 15 to max 20 passes on them. I think im gonna heat them up and see if they still get sticky. I'm thinking of selling them, I would'nt want to sell a tire with no value to somebody. I'd disclose that I have'nt made a pass on them since early winter of 09. They also have 0 street miles on them if that matters.
