Ok, so struck a serious deal on a 2005 3/4 ton Chev truck frame and drivetrain, and it has the 6.0 LQ4. Me and my father want a project and its this, a 99 up v6 mustang but swap out the motor for the LQ4 and carb it, just wondering on what tranny to use, our options are the 4L80e, th400, th350, 700R4. which of these would be the best in this application or is there another you would recommend, also any other tips for this swap, and no telling me to start with a v8 because funds are tight and there not that common in little old PEI Canada, and plus its a PROJECT. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice

What do you want the car for? Strictly drag, a good mixture of both or just main a street car? Also what are your power goals with the car? How important is O/D for you? There are a lot of unanswered questions before someone can recommend a transmission.

mostly street, but maybe a 1/4 here and there, power goal is whatever a stock lq4 with a carb conversion wil giev me
