Default GTO Questions

Girlfriend is looking at getting another car and I am trying to sell her on a gto. I have a few questions though. Are these things easier to perform general maintance on than an fbody? She would get an auto, what kind of mpg do you guys see in town and on the highway? Are there any problem areas that I need to look out for?

WAAAAAY easier to work on than an Fbody.

I have a manual but I get about 25hwy always above 20 to a tank. I drive 15minutes hwy and 20 city.

Default Go for it.

They are fairly easy to work on an are about the most comfortable car to use daily as you will find. The IRS in the back is worth keeping an eye on, but mine was trouble free and a pleasure to drive.

IMO best bang for the buck right now. You can find 05's with relatively low miles for around 15k.

Wow. 4 years in and the only issue I have had was inside tire wear and throwing a main bearing. Engine replaced with a forged 402 .

But I still love my "cavalier" even with its saggy rear. When this one says bye, I will certainly get another without a second thought.

never had any of these problems other than wheel hop and the shitty rear springs. Easy fixes. Slicks and Pedders Drag Springs.
