Default Wiring: Radiator Fan - ECU help!

2001 ls1/ecu(actually bought it off Mater), custom Howe radiator, looking to run 16" Spal 12v puller.

Fan Link

looking for a solid way to go about wiring it up.

Wire it up to the ECU and let it it handle the on/off?

Run a separate controller?

Something in between?

Thanks in advance!

run it through the ecm its the simplest way ...one lest thing to wry about while driving. If it is a race car just run em all the time...just my opinion.

I had some problems getting the ECM to shut the fan off......I ended up installing a Spal Controller..........Works great

Run the signal of the pcm to a relay and use the relay to turn on the fan. If the fan speeds are affected by voltage, then run two relays, the second being a double throw. Place a resistor in the normally closed path, and let the ecu control the second relay with the second fan signal. Then once the second relay is thrown you bypass the resistor, and get a higher fan speed.
