Anyone used the "chalk method" for cutout location?
I just read on ls1lt1 about the chalk/cheap spray paint method to find the right place to put a cutout? I couldnt find anything about it on this site and am just curious if this works. Supposedly it's supposed to burn off up to a certain point and thats where your supposed to put the cutout. I know it has something to do with the back pressure, but can someone explain this to me or confirm that this is a good method to use. I'm going to get my cutout installed on friday and I'm still up in the air about where to put it. I am leaning towards putting it right where the axle goes up over the axle just to make it more of a straight shot out once the cutout is open. Also, this is supposed to be the best for low clearance cars. I just hope it's loud enough, anyone have a vid of stock or LT LT1 with the cutout at the bend over the axle? Thanks!

Put it within a few feet of the collector and you will be fine.
