Default CEL after intake manifold swap?

We have a 2000 vette with LS1, My buddy replaced his stock intake maniflod with a BBK unit and now he has p0171 and p0174 which are bank 1 and bank 2 lean conditions. He has a graniteli MAF so we swaped back to the stock one and the codes came back. Do you need a tune for this thing now? He also has a BBK 80mm throttle body and SLP blackwing intake. How do we get rid of these codes, we are lost!
Thanks

Both banks all the sudden throw lean codes, could be a vacuum leak.

Yep, I will check for vacuum leaks.
