Need Help
I currently dont have the money to do a rebuild that I wanted so I bought a used 4l60e. The first one I bought 2 years ago when I had trans problems was out of a 2001 Camaro and all I had to change was the tail shaft. So I bought a 4l60 from CL out of a 1998 chevy van 2500. I put in my freshly rebuilt stall converter and it wouldnt go anywhere. So I stuck in the stock converter and the bolt holes dont line up. Need help figuring out what I can do. Should I look for a converter out of a Camaro? Or wont the trans work at all?

Not sure what you have going on, but you cannot install a non ls transmission in place of a ls trans without adapters.
I'm guessing your dealing with two totally different input shafts.

Only problem with buying that kit is that I will have to buy a different starter. Then there can be other problems. I think im gonna sell this trans and find a ls trans or just save up and get mine done. I just wanted to drive it but winter is around the corner and getting ready to store it. Plus my boss is yellin at me to get it out of the lot. We dont have alot of parking spaces. So I think I will tow it home for now. Thanks for your help

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help. I ended up finding one through craiglook dot com. Thanks again. Try that website it uses CL but with broader and better search tools
