Default Revving the car makes oil pressure gauge go to 0

i have a 90k mile 5.3 pullout with a cam, intake, injectors, LT's, rod bolts, etc.. and im using an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and sending unit. well the car is untuned and i was checking to make sure i fixed the power steering leak (i did) and as it was idling it would try to load up on fuel cause it isnt tuned and its rich, so i gave a very slight bit of throttle to clean it out and my oil pressure gauge immediately went to 0, almost as if the gauge quit working (that fast). so of course i turned the car off immediately and then started it again and oil pressure was fine. give it a bit of gas and boom same thing.

what could this be?

I would confirm this with a mechanical gauge first, if that confirms it, you have obviously something wrong inside the engine. Could be an oil pump o ring or could be a bearing problem, who knows.

Electrical issue I had it a couple times after driving in rain but I can't figure it out, typically it would eventually blow my engine sensor fuse and then my redraw lockout wouldn't work either. By the time I change the fuse it'd be dry and work again. I'd check for a short somewhere.

I sure hope this is what it is, ill check the gauge wiring and see whats up. Now that you mention it i think i know where it would short out.
