Compression Test Question..
So I'm following shbox.com for instructions on the test, I've removed the plugs and PCM IGN fuse. The car won't crank with the key now. Is there something that needs to be done with the starter to crank the car over?
Also if anyone has another method I'm open to suggestions.
Some guidance would be awesome.. thanks..

so since that fuse is pulled im assuming it powers the ignition switch as well as the fuel pump.. which is why they want you to pull it.. what i do is hook up a gator clip to the remote wire on the starter (small post). then when i am ready to crank the car over i just touch that wire to the positive terminal that way i can watch the preassure gauge

me personally i would just pull the opti plug up by the intake. no ignition signal means the injector wont fire either. it is easier if you have a helper then you can focus on the gauge and swapping it out while they hit the key. make sure battery is charged

when doing compression test you really want to stop the fuel flowing...it washes down cyl.
that is why you pull fuse for fuel inj
maybe your ign fuse effect starter so just pull coil wire

Not sure why the engine won't crank with PCM/IGN fuse removed. Removing this fuse does not power fuel pump when key is turned. This all can easily be resolved by getting a remote start trigger from any autoparts store.
