That would be my first course of action. For a new forged motor with decent parts to toss a rod through the block something had to be completely askew.

Can either run your setup on stock block, or do a cheap rebuild and do 355. Only options I can think of, mostly just switching everything over.

the guy that built also does EVERYONES balance work in kansas city, took me forever to get my short block back. im literally dropping it infront of his shop and going to Burlingtons which i should of had do it in the first place.

ya i think im gonna do a 355 build, save the crank and pistons out of the other motor.

gas wouldnt do this.. the only way oil would is if a: no oil b: no oil... you know how it goes.. you would of heard something wrong before it just slung it out the block.. my money is on machining on this build..

Breaking a rod is unlikely, the cap coming off is more likely.

You can make power with a 355, stock crank and rods...good pistons and put it together. Put some ARP rod bolts in.

havent even jerked the motor out but theres a hole in the pan and antifreeze pored out with it sooo ill see soon, and let you know if the cap came off or not ive been so pissed about it i havent touched the car.
