Default Exhaust size for future plans

A little about my current exhaust setup: LT headers, 3" ORY, 3" I-pipe into a 3" cutout and a flowmaster muffler. I gain about 30 hp opening the cutout.

I would like to go big cubes someday and am wondering how much my current setup will hold me back. I know people swap to bigger primaries with cubes, so will I have to do that? Is the 3" I-pipe too small, should it be 3.5"? And will the 3" cutout still work, or should that be 3.5" as well?

I'm looking to mess around with the exhaust and if I can start planning for the future while I do it all the better.

Thanks.
