Default I was told I MAY need fender mod. for these rims

I was Told that I need an offset of 50 or higher, or they may rub in the rear on my 98 WS6. The rims I was looking at are 17x8 with a 35mm offset. Does anyone know if these will work for sure? I want to stay with 275/40-17 tires. What rim options other than stock do I have? I apologize if this is answered somewhere else. I know the sticky says that 35mm offset will work, but I just wanted to verify it would work all the way around for sure since it was listed as the minimum it would take.

I think a better question would be why are you going with skinnier wheels? Factory WS6 wheels are 17x9, why would you go with a more narrow wheel?
