From what I have been told, you can clean up the runners a lil bit but there really isnt much to port.

ams is claiming 12hp from this and a TB (Which if you send them the tb its 200 for ported ls6 and tb). This was on a stock head/cam car.

Since you can get 6-8 rwhp with a properly ported TB on a stock car, then I'd say those numbers are about right. Around 4-6 rwhp for the intake alone.

What if your like me with a decent size cam but no heads? Will I still gain the 12rwhp or more like 8? Even at 8rwhp, $25 isn't bad at all.

Guys, most people can do the simple port, where they remove some casting material here and there which helps to limit the turbulence of the air as it enters the cylinder head. However, Jay from Absolute speed has a Stage 2 port where he opens the intake up and really goes at it. Normal price tag for it is 500.00, but if you buy a set of heads from his 2 GP's going on you can get it done for 250.00 port matched to your new heads with either his 78mm TB or new Billet 80mm TB. Give him a call, he might work something out with you.
