times for the new 355 with 21* heads
Went to the local 1/8 milw track.. This is the 1st time out with the new motor. She went 7.43@97 with 1.60 60ft.. The track prep was crap and couldnt hook up all day.. I think at a better track she will go 7.2s

That thing should really scream in the 1/4. for what your 60ft is its really picking up huge on the bigend of the track. your mph is crazy, especially considering the DA.
My car runs 7.30@93.5 on a 1.6-1.63 60ft with 2000-2500DA. Id like do see what it will do in the 1/4.

That is great makes me happy I bought into the 21* heads, you think the ported intake picked it up any over your stock intake? Also did you see the results from ported to epoxy/ported intake that Stealthformula ran after the manifold swap?

The car should have run 11.50's-11.60's in the 1/4mile, on a 7.43 1/8th mile pass b/c a few years back when I had LE1heads/cam setup my car ran consistant 7.30's-7.40's on motor and ran consistant 11.50's. I was only running 3.42 gears and the car was a little heavier. Goodluck Later

Thats awesome every little bit helps and your car is running hard for whats in it. 97MPH in the 1/8th is unreal for out of the box heads, Im just going to touch up my 21's ditch my vic jr and port a super vic to match them. I have been waiting for your track times since I want to build a mild 355 short block like yours, I already have a custom built pro-systems carb to compliment everything.

It will be quicker than that. If you ran a 7.43 at 92-93mph, then it would fall right in line with an 11.50-.60. You ran 97mph which is VERY good for that ET. Assuming you get out of the hole the same, and then have a top-end charge like you did on that 1/8th pass, you'll be looking at some solid 11.3/4's.
