A cam will make a difference even without heads, usually the 112 lobe center cams are mainly for sound and show. You aren't going to see alot of power until you reach higher RPM's. The 114 lobe center cams still sound good and you make power at lower and upper engine speed. I would reccomend the 114 lobe center cam.

I have the hot cam and the stock heads. Currently, my power is what you see in the sig. I am in need of a program tweak, and hope to get closer to 400/370 on stock heads. It has worked out very well for me for a reasonably conservative cam. It is especially friendly with daily driven cars. It gets two thumbs up from me... best of luck...

I think this is a great cam, it makes great power and can be used in combination with a GM part number Valve-spring. There should not be much valve-train wear with this cam and it is not uncommon to see 375 RWHP on stock heads with this cam and all the bolt-ons. Other cams do make better numbers on stock heads, but I think for the valvetrain wear trade-off this might be one of if not the best cam.

Put me down as another satisfied HotCam user. I gained 39 RWHP with the addition of the HotCam (+PCM Tuning and ported TB). My car went from 331 RWHP to 370 RWHP (my car had all the usual bolt-ons) being a daily driver and only an occasional drag strip user, the HotCam was perfect for my driving habits and budget.

I plan on getting some ported LS6 heads by the end of the year, so hopefully I can get up close to 390+ RWHP with some good tuning to go along with the heads

Good luck with your mods - I definitely am happy with the hotcam
