Default Swapped 454 c.i. for 345 c.i.

Well, my old motor was out of the car while the frame off resto is in progress:

It just didn't seem right to put that heavy behemoth back in the car...so I decided an aluminum diet was in order and picked up one of these:

It is a Gen III out of a 1999 WS6. Engine has been rebuild with cylinders honed and original rotating assembly. New gaskets/seals/bearings. Rebuilder installed the TSP Torquer II cam kit (cam/pushrods/springs) and supplied the MSD ignition controller for carb conversion, as well as an edelbrock carb intake. I picked up the engine w/ cam kit, all accessories minus A/C compressor, carb intake, carb conversion ignition, extra gaskets and flexplate for $3,500 in MS. Don't now if I got the BEST deal, but I think it's a fair deal for seller & buyer.

Default Parts Ordered

Well, I've got my ARP Rod and Head bolts. I've got some Chevy Orange and Gunmetal Grey Powder-coat supplies on order.

Plan is to tear motor down to check clearances (the "rebuilder" seems to have cut some corners) and powdercoat valve covers, accessory brackets, and intake while the wife's out of town (So I can get away with using her oven for powdercoating!). First weekend in Nov is target timeframe.
