Default Cam sensor help

I have a Gen 3 LQ9 block, but I installer a LS2 timing cover so I have made a block off plate on the hole on the valley cover surface. But I have seen a other hole on the rear cover side. So, the bellhousing area have access to engine internal... Do the gen 3 cam sensor go down the 2 holes so it block the bellhousing area? Or its only a window to read the cam reluctor?

I have found this picture on the web, I think I see the cam sensor....

So my option will be to plug the hole with something + RTV joint...

Thanks!

Yes, you'll need to plug the lower hole or suffer a large oil leak!
