'04 GTO throws serpentine belt off
I tried searching with no real luck.
My '04 throws the serpentine belt off when I shift at 6k RPMS or higher. I can run at 6k or higher and it doesn't throw the belt until I shift.
I've replaced the belt and tensioner. I've checked the pulleys.
About 2.5 years ago I did a cam swap. I'm certain the threads aren't stripped and the crank bolt was torqued to spec. Would the crank pulley be backing off? A friend suggested that may be the issue? It just started doing this recently.
Has anyone experienced this? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Unless your pulley alignment if off I would not suspect the crank. I have heard of this problem before, under high RPMs the tensioner can back off a lot causing slack in the belt. I can't rember who but someone makes a tensioner for the LS1 that does not have a spring and you adjust to desired tension adn tighten it down (GMHTP used one on a project car a few years back). Sounds like you need one.
