Default H/c help!

I need some help when it comes to picking out a head/cam package. I'm unsure of what all the numbers mean when a cam is being described and the same for when it comes to heads and how man cc/cfm and how much air flows thru them. Can someone please break them down for me so I can understand what I'm looking at and know what I need to purchase for my 04 GTO.

as far as cc/cfm goes, it's all about attaining the best flow possible. Porting will obviously help this on a stock ls2 head. I've seen some 243's go well over 340 cfm

The lower the 'cc' is the more it raises your compression ratio (C/R).
watch out because the lower your 'cc' is; the closer your valves are to the piston, so PVC might need to be checked in that case. Camshaft choice comes in the equation, as pvc is something to be certain of before calling it a day, and sealing the motor up, firing it up, and giving it a go around.

If you're planning a stroker build, go with the larger CC heads. (225's with 408) (205-215 for stock cubed motor is best)
