That doesn't make sense. A spacer can't increase airflow, it isn't the limiting factor in the intake tract.

That's what I thought.

I have the airraid tbs and the squeal is very annoying especially when leaving a toll booth lol. On the package it claims to increase torque and mpg. With my fwi, 180 tstat, tbs, and tune my gxp did 340 at the crank. Dunno what was contributed by the tbs but I can tell you that thing is back in the package until someone tells me that noise is worth it lol.

You know what I mean, 340 before the loss of hp to the wheels. I think he said 290 at the wheels.

The over-the-counter retail throttle body spacers are pretty much useless, I have never been able to find any test or reliable source, that they produced anything but noise. The noise is due to the machined grooves that are supposed to swirl the air but actually act more like a whistle. I did make my own spacer out of a chunk of aluminum, but I made mine twice as thick ( 1.5") and no grooves. There was a small increase in power, actually hardly worth the effort to make the spacer. I believe the increase came from the spacer increasing the volume of the intake manifold.

I got Airaid TBS for $40 used from another member on here. I wouldn't pay retail, but for $40, why not. I'm sure in conjunction with my K&N intake it has to be helping a little. And after a while, you barely hear the whistle anymore. It's just second nature.

Uhhh 290 at the wheels with your mods??? unless you got a dyno sheet man thats hard to believe. Your basically have 3 performance mods; a intake, a spacer and a tune. I have more mods then you and put 269 to the wheels 3 straight times. Either your not telling us something, thats a really hot dyno, or your bsing. Not trying to be a dick, but gxp's that i've seen put down near 300 horse have a **** ton more work to them then you.

I didnt get a print out. All I have is the tbs, fwi, shift kit, and dyno tune. The guy said he uses a different dyno then most shops and I cannot remember the name at all. I cant say I know enough to argue the numbers but thats what I was told. Sorry if you dont believe me but thats the info I recieved.
