This is the hard plastic piece underneath the cushion that holds the button and the hinge in place. I have two console lids and both have a broken piece missing from the loop that holds the button. Still works, just make is wobbly.

I disassembled mine and either JB welded it or fiber glassed the pieces together. It's worked out well for me.

Thanks for the reply. I was going to epoxy it, but the piece was totally missing so I figured someone might have a lid that shot, but the base was still good.
