Delco display quick fix...
I came up with an easy fix to the infamous "no back light" on the delco head unit. Theres about 10-15 threads on how to resolder the board leads and cold solder break away...bla ba.
My problem wasn't the factory soldering. The bulb was burnt out behind the display. That little buger was kinda hard to remove.
I went to the local r@d!0 shack and picked up a mini lamp 12 volt with hook up leads and shortened them up a bit. Split the wrap after cutting the leads to a work friendly length, and soldered them onto the board where the original bulb was, and bling! Works like a champ! Now I can see what time it is in the car in the a.m. when the sun aint out yet...
Sorry for not having pics...comments/suggestions?
