Default hey people - newbie here - please be gentle

Just want to say hey to everyone, very pleased to be a member.I have a 99 camaro ss - 5.7 - 6 speed.I sold my 89 corvette to pay bills and managed to get the camaro. The camaro is more of what I wanted so it wasn't a bad thing. It was a one owner car,130,000 miles and was well cared for.It is bone stock -I don't have the funds to do much yet,but my feelings were to first start with a programmer and take advantage of what I already have.So I'll be looking for a programmer or program for laptop. My big goal is to completely rebuild engine and end up with a weekend racer. It's not my daily car but I would like to street it sometimes.I would like to get rid of all emissions since I think they will hold a car back.I'm really not much of a mechanic, but I want to learn. My name is Dan and I love the smell of raceing fuel and burnt rubber anytime!!!

No point in tuning the car if it is bone stock. Get some bolt ons and go from there.

welcome to the site. I would start out with bolt ons as well before doing any tuning. let us know if there is anything we can help you with!
