Security system issue

Security system issue The security light is staying on and not allowing a startup, but then after a few tries it goes off and starts. I have the VATS system set to "None" instead of "PWM". Would that cause this problem? Thanks for any help.

The other portion of VATS is in the BCM which enables the crank circuit to the starter. It also sends a signal to the PCM fuel enable circuit. Bypass VATS with a resistor matching the key and you should be OK.
