Air entering the clutch system?
My car is 99 camaro, stock with LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel. I did not shim it when I install the clutch, and used stock slave. The master cyl has NOT been replaced yet.
The problem: Sometimes, the clutch pedal feels firm and engages nicely, other times, it feels spongy and slow return rate. Today, it stuck to the floor and would not go back up. So I bled it using the tick speedbleeder, and now it's fine again. I did notice that the clutch engages a little below half way up now.
Is air entering my clutch system? The fluid level was full, so i was not leaking any fluid, and I assume if air was to enter the system, the fluid level would drop right? Or another possibility, there's still air trapped inside the system?
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
Sid.
