UMI short stick
Installed my new umi short stick last night to my stock hurst shifter. So far I like it! The angle toward the driver is nice, although I first thought it wouldn't feel right but once driving it's pretty nice. I didn't notice much increase in noise as some have noted. It has a much more positive feel and you can actually feel what gear your in. I was a sucker for the stock handle's smoothness, but my gripe with it was it was too "soft." I could never get a good feel for 4th, 6th, or Reverse and the dreaded 2-3 shift couldn't be done confidently IMO. Especially when you grind reverse and miss a 3-4 shift.
I'm sure a complete aftermarket shifter would be better but for $20 vs. $180-200 for a new unit, this setup will serve me well for DD purposes.
That's my review.

Nice! I was just looking to get one of these for my pro 5.0 shifter. I love the shifter just the stick is too long IMO. I know I can cut the pro 5.0 one down a little but didn't want to go too short and regret it. Plus I don't want my hand to slip off banging into 3rd and put a fist through my stereo lol.
It doesn't feel too short dose it? Like your kinda reaching down a little?

No, I was worried it was gonna feel too short but when I rest my arm on the console the **** sits right in the center of my hand and you can just about wrist flick it in gear. Probably even more so since you have the pro5.0

Ive driven cars with more than a few different shifter setups, and the short stick on the stock hurst really improves the feel quite a bit!
Ive used the stock hurst, 6" WS.6store stick on a stock hurst, B&M Ripper(stick and shifts felt too long) and our current Pro 5.0 with Lous stick, and i think they all feel better than the stupid bushed stock stick.
