Default A good deal?

I'm considering a slightly used Vig 3200 for around $400. Any impressions of this converter or the deal as a whole? This is my daily driver but I've heard many people say anything lower than 3,000 will be difficult to notice.

Thanks

list your mods and what kind of tires you use, how often you race. A vig single disc 3200 will stall more like 3600 or a little higher. I would think it is ok for daily driving, but make sure to have a trans cooler. You will feel the increased acceleration with this over stock, probably gain .3-.4 in the quarter with decent traction.

Default Mods and Purpose

I have a fairly small cam (216,220, .525,.532, 114), mac mid-length headers through ory and borla rear exhast, lid +filter, smooth bellows, HPP3, 3.73 gears, Trans-Go, free mods.

Nitto or BFG DR's will be purchased concurrently with converter. I don't race much but I do plan on going to the track a few times and not backing down from stop light racers on occasion.

That verter should be an excellent addition to your car. It'll stall 3600-3800 for you and with your gears and cam that'll make for a nice daily driver with an attitude. Your only complaint I would think is you'll probably want more stall after a month of driving around with the VIG3200. Make sure you get the tranny cooler and $400 sounds like a good price if it's in good shape since new they run about $700 I think.

Since your not overly concerenced with racing and drive it every day it's a good choice for your car. I'd say go for it and enjoy!

I appreciate your advice. The weather is still pretty rough in KS so this would have to be an exceptional deal to buy now. He's still looking for the warranty papers. If there's proof that I can have a free re-stall then I might just jump at this thing and begin looking at drag radials

Thanks again
