Default safe or not?

I just bought a set of c5 Zo6 wheels with chrome lip...is it safe to go through the car wash with them.and not get any damage to the chrome itself?

Soap and water is all you need to clean chrome. Car washes suck. I have seen them do a countless amount of damage to vehicles. Scratches from the hood to the trunk, swirls, fine scratches. Save yourself the money and wash your own car.

I've been in a car wash that was under construction once and felt one of those big brushes that slaps against your car. After that I will never take my car through one of those car washes again.

The only one I think would be okay is a touchless car wash, but even then I would be worried about scraping my exhaust on the track that pulls your car through the wash. Low slung performance cars and automated car washes just don't mix.

What kind of car wash are you talking about? Don't use an auto car wash but there's no reason not to use a manual one just don't use the brush. There's nothing wrong with hosing your car off and using the spray on soap from the wand though.
