Default Rack and pinion replacement

So it turns out my rack is leaking and is making a horrible noise, but only when I turn the wheel left. It doesn't seem hard to change out. My question is. Should I go with a re-manufactured one from autozone, or GM parts direct? Because there is a huge price difference. The reason I'm asking is my ws6 has the "firm steering" rack on it. Is there that much of a difference between Firm one and a regular rack?

I"d check with one of the places that deals in f-body salvage. You can probably get a pretty nice used unit from them....Hawks, Billy Graham & T/A Creations are a few that I can think of. You'll have to do your own searching for their contact info as they aren't sponsors of this site.
