Exclamation Help needed quick!!!! Overheating problems

Hey so I'm driving home from my girlfriend's house and i hear a loud pop as im coming out of the driveway. I check that everything is ok and all of a sudden my oil pressure goes from 40 to 60 but the temp. is ok so i drive home. Wen i get home, which was only like 10 min away, i park it and go inside. I come out later to drive but i want to idle it to see if it would go away. It didn't. The oil pressure started out at 60 and the engine slowly started to overheat. My last camaro was a LT1 and had major overheating. So my question is did i blow a head gasket? Did the water pump go out or did the O-Ring bust or am i gonna be ok?? ANY HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AS I AM A POOR COLLEGE STUDENT. THANKS FOR ANY INFO!!

Well aside from the oil pressure; first thing to check would be coolant in the oil or vise versa. Then, you'd want to make sure your fans are coming on. Next, do you smell coolant? Did you see any leaks?
