Default OE WS6 hood question

I bought a hood from a member on here earlier this spring, it needed some repairs and I haven't had a lot of time so it's just now finished and I was going to fit it this weekend. I know this is a newb question, but I was wondering are the 98-02 WS6 hoods fiberglass? I had my friend fix the damages on the hood for me and he told me it was fiberglass, I just figured my "sleek beak" hood on my car now was also fiberglass until I checked tonight. I was before the purchase the hood I received was OE by the member on here that sold it to me. Since I don't really know anyone with a 98-02 WS6 around here that could answer the question for me, so any help would be appreciated! I just feel a little like I got ripped off.

The ram air hoods weren't steel. They either SMC or fiberglass (hatch is fiberglass as well). I am not sure which was used for the hood since I don't own any ram air cars. The sleek beak hoods were in fact steel.

Oh ok, that makes me feel a lot better. It hit me after I sent this that the hood had the baffles and rivits and whatnot so I guess I probably was not lied to. Interesting info though, why do you think they were not made from steel? Thank you, I was starting to panic.

The shape is too complex to be stamped in steel.

SMC is also waaaaay lighter than steel obviously. Couple that along with the ease of molding it from SMC instead of the more complicated steel and you've got a winner...

IMO it's the best hood for this car-nothing comes close. I had my T/A for a year and started forgetting about it. One day I put on a knock-off WS6 hood and fell in love with it all over again...
