Factory head unit or aftermarket? CD-R or CD-RW?
The factory head unit isn't even designed to play a CD-R (although it usually will) but CD-RW discs are definitely outside its capabilities. I have heard of CD-RW discs working once or twice and then just causing errors after that. Even some brands of CD-R discs cause problems.
The problem is obviously the disc since other discs play fine. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the disc (it works in other vehicles), just that the head unit can't handle it. Try recording the same music on a different type of disc at no more than 12x. The slower the better but 8x to 12x seems to work fairly reliably.
