Default Reverse idler washers.

The manual shows 2 washers for the reverse idler gear, but I have non. This trans seams to have been rebuilt before and whoever did it forgot to put them back in. The idler gear has some movment, and I'm not sure where I can get these washers and whats their thickness.

Thanks for the help.

How much movement? The washers are fairly thick and they were different, depending on year(? someone else who has built more wanna chime in?)

There may be 0, 1, or 2 washers depending on the gear, tailhousing, and plate. If the play is less than a washer-thickness, it won't be a problem.

What's the thickness of the washer? I'm having around 0.02" of play.

I don't have one in front of me, but they are about 0.125" thick.

Some boxes had none. You have 20 thousandths, you're good.
