Default Assembly lube on Camshaft

Guys is it wrong to spin the camshaft by hand while adjusting timing in fear of the assembly lube to not do its job on startup? I know a little spinning is okay but if you over spin it should you take the cam back out and re apply?

Re apply if it makes you feel better, but with roller lifters the role of assemby lube on the cam is less critical.

No need to reapply. I have done this while looking through the valley at the cam, there is still plenty left on it.

Actually, when I did mine I left the assembly lube (Redline) off of the cylinder #1 lobes so it wouldn't effect any measurements while I was degreeing the cam. When I was all set up, I went in through the valley cover and coated those two lobes and continued assembly of the motor.
