Default Lighter socket doesn't work, not the fuse.

The lighter socket doesn't work, and it's not the lighter/horn fuse. Any ideas? Maybe there is a connection that I need to check? I'm sure it's simple, i'm just not familiar yet with this car.

It's a 1993 TA.

Basic diagnostics 101. Unplug the connector on the back of the socket. Use a test light or multimeter to test for power on the center terminal. If no power go back to fuse panel and test both input and output sides of the fuse socket. Power at fuse but not at socket means broken wire between them (assuming you've tested the fuse as well).

Similarly, test the ground terminal of the lighter socket to ensure that there is a good ground.

If you aren't the first owner, someone probably tapped in to that line at one point.

I need to replace the console anyhow, so we will see when I pull it out...
