Default Need advice on head+cam package. Plus more.

Hi everyone. First off just like to say that this site rocks and been coming here for a long time. Just never really posted much.

I know that there are many threads to this and as much as I looked, I feel that my question has not been answered.

To start off, I know what head and cam I want to do. But the only thing that is stopping me is my mileage. I have a 2000 FB M6 with no mods that has 110k miles. In personal and professional advice that I am asking for, would it be smart to do so?

I've always heard if you do the top half, you always do lower. I have never done a motor with mileage already set, but I have built them on a stand. If that is my only option, then I will save up for a block. Thanks for any information.

drop the heads and cam on her and roll just dont push real high rpms, 6500 rpm would be the max imo.

these ls motors are great high mileage motors.if the head/cam pkg revs the motor past 6500 rpm install better rod bolts.I would also install new lifters, oil pump ,and timing chain.

Thanks for the quick info. I was going to go with a simple cam. 224 or 228. Either or at this point. Guess I will save up for the extras as well. Thanks again.
