Yet another cam selection thread
Car: 01 Z06, LG LT's, ported throttle body, vararam, HSW plate kit, VRX2 cam (224-228 581-588 on a 114 ), stock rear gear, ls7 clutch
How its used: 90% street driven with a few trips to the drag strip each year. It is not my DD, but I don't want it to be a pain to drive. When I do drive the car I want to enjoy it.
What I would like: A few more HP NA and a little more pronounced idle. I do not want to give up driveability to get that though.
My question is: Is their a cam that will let me reach the above goals ( 420ish RWHP NA, slightly choppy idle, & no ( or very little ) sacrifice in driveability over current cam. I am looking for real world experience from those of you that have done something similar. If it can't be done I will just leave it as is and put my money elsewhere.

I ran the streetsweepter ht from new era in my z06. I did not want to regear it, wanted it drivable and wanted it to lope. It worked great for me and sounds like you want about what I did. With similar mods i made 415 400 to the wheels and got 28 mpg on the interstate. No surging or bucking. I highly recommend this to any z06 guy wanting a cam.
