Default battery leaked something... now what??

This happened in like 09, but now that i am ripping everything apart i am seeing the full extent... i was under the impression that batt acid burns though the paint, but this has the appearance and feel of something ON the paint, however, i cannot get it off.... what now??

Ouch... yea... I'd clean it as best you can, sand and shoot it with a little paint.

btw even if you used spay paint it will not even be noticeable! i mean who would even look near the battery anyway. use sand paper and get some paint n spray dont be afraid. good luck.

Yup the acid etched the paint/surface and will need a repaint. Why bother as once the batttery tray, battery, overflow tank and radiator and accessories are installed you can't see it unless you climb under the car and peak sideways?
