Default Another Tire Question?????

I have searched quite a bit and really haven't found my answer.

I orded new wheels 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in rear.

I see alot of people going 245/40/18 for the front. I plan on going with a 255?

In the rear 275/35/18 is also pretty common. I will prob go with the 275.

What is the purpose of going with a 35 in rear and 40 up front? Isn't that about an inch difference in height?

I was thinking going 40 on both front and rear. They are going on an 01 T/A

The ratios will be the height ratio based upon the width, so with different width tires, the sidewall ratio could be different to maintain the same diameter front and rear....use this site to compare sizes and check differences.

That really helped. They should attach this to the tire sticky.
