Default Random Question

Is a timing cover gasket the same as a front cover gasket? I am in the middle of rebuilding my motor and looked on ws6store and saw these two gaskets both with different GM part #'s. One part number is 12574294 Front Cover Gasket and the other is 12561244 Timing Cover Gasket. Both are very similar pricing. So are these the same gaskets and I only need to pick one or the other? Thanks guys

hmm I looked up 12561244 on google and seen Byunspeed calling it a Front crankshaft oil seal and some forums calling it a front engine seal.. so maybe its not the same as the Front Cover Gasket? But then ws6store has a Front Cover Crank Seal #12585673 for also similar pricing. Lol why the **** do they have to make it so confusing.

As for the felpro part # you provided I checked it out and it seems like a pretty good deal. I planned to re-use my water pump gaskets, valve cover gaskets, intake port seals, tb seal, coolant plug gaskets, and exhaust mani gaskets. On ws6store I have all the gaskets I "think" I need for $170 shipped. That includes gm mls head gaskets, oil pan gasket, rear cover gasket, front cover gasket, front cover crank seal, rear main seal, and the timing cover seal (if its not the same as the front cover crank seal).

This all look good?

This for just the front of the motor gaskets only. My bad. Head gaskets and what not up top need to be ordered seperate.
