Default engine cleaning

What are some of your methods to clean up an aluminum block?
Do you guys use any kind of solutions/cleaning agents?
If so what are you using?

Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I'm planning on stripping it down to bare block and and using my presure washer, just not sure on what cleaning stuff to use.

i had planned on a lot of simplegreen and break parts cleaner. Never used BAM, but if you use simplegreen make sure it alllll comes off, no residue (pressure washer is your friend)
