If the O2 codes are edited out....
If I were to have the codes for the rear O2 sensors edited out, assuming its possible, will the car run any differently? Will I be able to hook the O2 sensors back up come smog time and expect to pass? Thanks a lot!

Assuming that you don't turn the tests off for the rear O2s, but just set the MIL to Type X (to keep the SES off for when the cats are not on) for all S2 O2 sensor DTCs, and leave the tests run, then you should be able to put the cats back in, follow the OBD drive cycle procedures to allow the tests to complete, and pass the OBD scan as normal. The OBD scan test takes readings only from OBD test readiness status, stored DTCs, and MIL command on/off.
Hope that helps....

Umm... So in english, You can disable the resutling SES codes for when the O2's are not plugged in, but not actually delete the function of the O2 sensors... Isn't this kinda like covering up a hole in the wall with a piece of paper? You can't see it but its still there? Will the computer recognize there is a problem with the O2's, but not be able to make trouble codes for it? Will this produce any long term problems with the PCM? Will a regular computer scan come smog time show that everthing it alright and no codes have been deleted? Thanks for your help.

You are not actually deleting anything, just changing the MIL type for a given DTC. Just don't toggle the test off, and you will pass.
All they scan you for is stored DTCs, whether the MIL had been commaned on for a tripped DTC, and test complete (readiness) stauts.
