What Trans do they put in the 93 z28 I know that its a one year only Trans because the electronics are different then the 94 and up but Iheard that u can use a Trans out of the 3rd gen is that true

Yep. It's a 700R4. Thats the only 4th gen with the 700.

The 93 had a really rare 700 in it. It used a round 5 pin connector where the earlier units used a 4 pin square connector. You could probably use an earlier unit but you will have to do some mods to make lock up work properly. Personally if you have the correct unit for the car just have it rebuilt. Vince

I've been thinking about doing a swap in my 93 but am having trouble finding the correct tranny ( as stated above) Any one know of a good place to buy a "correct" 700r4?

'93 was the only year for the 4l60 which is what you have. It's an up graded 700r and carries a "3FFM" code. I would just have it rebuilt like stated above.

I looked around and the best bet on a 93 is a rebuild that's what I'm doing next since I only have first gear
