Default CC503 vs. CC306

I need some advice. I'm looking to get a cam for my 1997 Z28 M6 camaro. Can't decide betwwen the cc503 or the cc306. Currently my car is only mildly modded: BBK 58mm throttle body, Edelbrock 7107 intake, Headers w/no cats.

Yeah, I've read a few threads discussing these two cams. I was just curious to get some opinions based on my specific mods.

Neither unless you're willing to change gears. ESPECIALLY not the 306

I thought this was the same thread posted yesterday. To the OP just go with the smaller cam!

What gears would you recommend with the 503?

3.90 if you're keeping the stock 10 bolt.

So, if I was to get the 503 with my current stock gears, would I have low end power problems?

Currently running the 503 with 3.42s and they're not enough for DD. Been saving for an S60 with 3.90s. Motive makes a 3.90 set for 3 series carrier if you want one in a 10 bolt.

Hmmm I'm still going to do the 503 or a similar cam, even in an m6 its intolerable with the stock gears?

It feels slower compared to the right gears. Mine with 2.73s sucks at the moment, 3.73s go in wednesday

You will get dragged by a hard running bolt on car. Do the gears first.

I'm gonna do a cam because the front seal and back of the intake leak on my motor, so I figured id throw a cam in while I have the timing chain cover and intake off, seeing its not much more work. My rear end hates me, it whines and has a clack to it from some nimrod before I owned it not doing the pinion seal right, causing too much backlash. I see an s60 in the near future, so gears will be close behind. Do you think 3.73's would be good?
