First, Tony and I would like to take a chance to say thanks to everyone who participated in getting the rules together for this class. GIZMO, quick95lt1, CamaroRacing12, Shon Herron, Colin91Z and any others I didn't mention. Thanks for your work and enthusiasm!

Second, there's the possibility that either the LTX Bracket or LTX Index class will be removed from this year's schedule to make room for this class. Due to time constraints, we will not have enough time for all 8 classes even though we got extra hour added this year. For those considering running this class, it is extremely important that we have at least 8 pre-registered racers for this class before May 1st. Otherwise, we will have to revert to the 2010 classes.

Third, we will be working to get the rules posted on LTXTECH over the next few days. Thanks for your patience.

Last, we will try to have on-line registration available by March 1st.

So, having a nitrous kit on the car is completely out? Taking the bottle out isn't sufficient?

Plates, solenoids, bottle, etc. need to be out. Mounts, hoses, wiring, etc. can stay.

Great job on all the rules. I'd have liked to see some of those little L99's be able to compete with a T56 behind them. I doubt there are any that would show up, but it would be fun to see. LOL

What about a mini-ladder bar set-up that eliminates the TQ arm? I have regular bolt-on lca's and a umi adj tq arm with relocation crossmember now, but if I can upgrade my rear to a 12 bolt it will not have a TQ arm anymore. I can't afford a bolt-in, purpose built rear and will be using a home fabbed one....so going with the mini-ladder rear suspension is the only way to go.

You don't think an aggressive tune with oxygenated race gas would be worth anything?

Then why is E85 disallowed?

I was the one that asked about race gas in the rules debate thread. The only reason I asked was because I was considering running a second class with the bottle in and I don't have a standalone fuel system for the spray. Since the kit has to come out, there doesn't seem to be much chance of that...

Good reading.... http://www.epa.gov/oms/oxygenate.htm

Then why is E85 disallowed?
Because it is an alternate fuel with special properties of it's own. What makes a person want to convert their LT1 to E85? Is it due to their love of the environment?
