I found a transmission out of a 05 S-10 (colorado?) - Will the bellhousing and torque converter swap from a trans that was in a 5.3 silverado? Are all of the 4l60E transmissions the same "body" wise - IE - the trans W/O the bellhousing.

I need a trans for my 2000 5.3 engine.

You can swap the BH and converter to get it in there physically, but the V6 internals are still weaker than the V8 trans. Even V8 4L60E's arent known for their strength so tread lightly
