Default Transmission install

Were putting my transmission back in and we have about an inch left and then it hits a "wall" and wont budge anymore. I have had it out and put it back in twice and it has never been this difficult. Why would it be doing this or do I just have to force it in?

Sounds like you need to get your alignment tool back out and make sure your clutch disc is still positioned correctly. Your input shaft may not be sliding into your pilot bushing.

I went through this with a friends transmission. We wanted to try to just suck it down with bolts but I'm glad we didn't. We just kept pulling it, re-aligning the clutch and about the third or fourth try it just slid right on. The last time we were particularly careful about not setting the input shaft on the clutch disc at all because it seemed to be pulling the disc out of alignment.
