I'm doing a ls swap in a 73 firebird with a formula hood. My plan is to a budget engine swap buying good parts for a foundation after the fitment,fuel, wiring etc is worked out (and I save up enough money)

So basically I'm going to do a 5.3 or 6.0 I know I need an Fbody pan, but I kind of like the accessories of the Corvette, I remember my Z06 being easier to work on than the Fbodies I'd owned.

So what do I need from the vette, alternator bracket, tensioner, crank pulley, alternator and waterpump? Any down falls to this and more important does it fit under a stock Firebird hood? I've seen one on here with vette accessories but no details on the rest of the swap.

I'm thinking Dynatech swap headers and car shop plates (although I need to confirm steering linkage is not an issue with that setup...

Any real word experience on this, suggestions on my plan?

All I have right now is a 05 GTO T56 so I'm starting from scratch and would like to do it right the first time!

I have the vette set up for my LQ4, it'll be going into my 80 Z28 come spring time. From what I have heard there are no issues swapping it in.

You'll want the Balancer, pulley's, tensioner, alternator, Power steering pump, water pump, basically the whole front drive assembly.
