Ok, you convinced me to paint the intake...
Well I hesitated but due to the "do it" feed back i went ahead and did it
Sanded down all the "nubs" Then sent it to the paint shop.. they color matched the charcoal grey powder paint in my engine bay and painted/cleared the LS6 intake
I was VERY happy with the results..
The polished billet PS, Oil Cap and dipstick handle are on the way and the head and intake plates are at the plater but you get the general idea.. Oh Im going to smooth out the FRC's and shoot them the smoked silver color of the stipes with a blue CAMARO script on them.. at least thats the plan..
Next week we start putting in the motor and suspension

Yes, another one joins the painted intake crowd. Steve, your engines always looked immaculate, and now I think it looks complete. Excellent job!
For anyone else considering painting theirs, check out mine: I did mine myself and I still think it looks decent:

I think it should contrast the intake. If you have FRCs, it should be whatever the color of your FRCs are. Since mine are black, I kept the fuel line black. Just my .02.

Congrats on joining the club - nice looking intake!
Where did you get that awesome looking power steering pulley? I've been trying to find both that pulley and the idler pulley in either billet or chrome for a while now.

Thanks guys..
1. Yes, its a S&P header package.. hope it fits
2. I like the blue accent of the fuel rail.. the FRC's will be smoked silver with blue artwork..
3. Pully is by a place called Turn-One.. somewhere in Michigan and they are made for race cars.. they are actually more functional than pretty but when polished up they look very nice.. cost is around $50.. you can get them for a few $ more at LPE
Im REALLY happy I painted the intake.. thanks for convincing me -- HOT TIP for painting the intake.. get rubber stoppers from Home Depot to fill the injector holes.. works great.
Another view (notice the chromed starter?)
